About me:

I am a freelance interpreter and translator currently living in Washington, DC.  My native language is English, but I work into and out of Spanish. 

I earned my B.A. in Spanish and International Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  I was able to complete course work for both programs while studying abroad in Seville, Spain for two semesters.  After graduation, I moved back to Spain, this time to Madrid, where I taught English.

Then I moved to Monterey, California, where I earned my M.A. in Translation and Interpretation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, the most prestigious school for the profession in North America.  There, I received top-level training in translation and consecutive and simultaneous conference interpretation.  My education there gave me numerous opportunities to translate challenging materials and interpret for multiple conferences on international organizations, environmental issues, business and economics, international politics, energy, and health.
